ABOUT THIS BLOG
I’ve read that writers should blog about anything but books, because when you start writing, you leave that to readers. I consider myself very inexperienced where my writing is concerned, and even if I was super established and experienced, I’m still a reader. Writers are readers first, and this blog is where I want to share my journey as a reader who has taken to developing my writing craft, being someone who wants to write my own books. I’m a student who is starting university in a new era, as the world, and schools, find ways to cope with the threat of a pandemic, and that’s a journey I’d like to share with you as well. So, here you can expect book reviews, discussions around certain books (i.e. interesting theories about points made about classics), my own research and notes on developing my writing craft, bits and pieces of my own writing, and my experience as a mid-pandemic student.
ABOUT ME
Hey there! My name is Jade Kimberley, or just Jade, if you like. I’m eighteen (nineteen in August) and a soon-to-be student at a university in South Africa. I love cats (animals as a whole, really), travelling, and the rain. I’ve always been in love with stories, and I’ve been trying to create my own for as long as I can remember. My favourite genres are fantasy, science fiction, and classic literature, but I’ll read anything I find interesting or get sucked into. When I’m not studying, cuddling with my cat, or spending time with family and friends, I’m indulging in a book, or working on my own short stories and novel ideas.
